Gregory Merriman, also known as Greg, (born 3 October 1988) is an Australian Ice dancer. Along with his the partner Danielle O’Brien, he is an eight-time Australian National Senior Champion as well as a 3 times Junior National Champion. They have participated in the World Championships and Four Continents Championships since 2008 and have been a part of 3 World Junior Championships. They were the first Australian Ice dancers to make it to the free dance stage at the World Championships and the second Ice Dance couple from Australia to compete in the Winter Olympics.

In 2013, the Nebelhorn Trophy was the last opportunity to be eligible for the Olympics O’Brien/Merriman came in sixth, and were able to qualify in Australia to compete in the Olympic Ice Dance event. In the 2014 Winter Olympics, they advanced into the free dance event and ended up finishing 20th.

In 2012-13, O’Brien/Merriman placed 7th in the US International Classic, 4th at the 2012 Ondrej Nepela Memorial 8th in the 2012 NRW Trophy and 4th at the 2012 Ice Challenge. In January 2013 O’Brien/Merriman became the very first Australian Ice dancers to be awarded a win a medal at an International competition when they won bronze medals at the Torun Cup in Poland. In February, O’Brien/Merriman participated in the 2013 Four Continents Championships where they had the best personal score of eighth. They didn’t have the ability to qualify for at the 2012 World Championships due to new requirements of the TES.

They also were able to dance for free. O’Brien and Merriman became the very first Australian team to be selected for dancing for free at an World Championships. They placed 20th overall.
