Greg Nwokolo is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 3, 1986 in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Gregory Junior Nwokolo (born 3 January, 1986) is a Nigerian born Indonesian professional footballer, who plays as forward for the Indonesian Liga 1 club Madura United and for the Indonesia National team.

As an Nigerian, Greg does not have any proof that was capped in any match played by the senior and junior Nigeria National Football Team. In the beginning of 2010 Greg was reported to have said that he was set to play with the Indonesia national football team however, this rumour was not officially confirmed by Greg himself. What’s fascinating is that Greg doesn’t confirm or deny the speculation. After several speculations, the August 2011, the Football Association of Indonesia finally declared that Greg was naturalised and received Indonesian citizenship informally on 10 October , 2011. Greg made his debut with the Indonesia national team during 2015. On 15 April 2014, after the Persipura Jayapura vs Persebaya Bhayangkara match conference, Greg got into a fight with Jacksen F. Tiago because of personal problems that started in the Indonesia national football team. The situation then eased after police restrained both of them.

On December 5, 2014, he signed again with Persija Jakarta.

The year 2009 was the time he quit the club Persija Jakarta and he want to make a name for himself within Europe and signed with his Portuguese club S.C. Olhanense until 30 June 2010 in August 2010 , before moving into Persija Jakarta as a free agent.

Greg started his career as a player in Asia by joining Tampines Rovers. Following that, in 2004, Greg signed with Young Lions. They left the club in the same year and move towards his current Indonesian soccer club Persijatim Solo. After spending a year living in Indonesia to play for Persijatim Solo FC, he joined Singapore Armed Force FC on January 25, 2005. He returned with PSIS Semarang in early 2006.
