Giovanni Stroppa is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 24, 1968 in Mulazzano, Italy. Giovanni Stroppa (Italian pronunciation: [dZo’vanni’stroppaborn on January 24, 1968) is an Italian football coach and former midfielder. He is currently the head coach at Crotone.

He resigned in the latter half of 2005 following a brief period working with Chiari in Serie D, where he was joined by his former Brescia teammate and striker Dario Hubner.

Stroppa was coach of A.C. Milan’s Primavera (under 21) youth team for the 2010–11 season but was relieved of his duties on 11 June 2011, with a year still to run on his contract, and just one week after losing 1–0 to Roma in the quarter-finals of the Campionato Primavera.

On 8 June 2012, he was named head coach of Serie A newcomers Pescara, replacing Zdeněk Zeman, his former boss during his first spell as a player at Foggia, who was signed by Roma a few days before his appointment. He was assisted by Andrea Guerra, Francesco Sità, Andrea Tonelli and Massimo Marini. He resigned as coach of Pescara on 18 November 2012 after a series of bad results and the team has fallen in the middle of the relegation zone. He left the club along with Guerra (vice-coach) and two assistants Sità and Tonelli.

After the departure from Milan, Stroppa then played two seasons with Udinese as well as two seasons and one-half in Piacenza Calcio, before joining Brescia in the winter of 2001 transfer market. After having a few more experiences in Genoa with Serie B, Alzano Virescit of Serie C1 and Avellino of Serie B, he returned to Foggia and joined Serie C1, in 2004.

Stroppa began his professional life with A.C. Milan’s young program and was loaned out for two years to Monza as a Milan feeder club in the early days. After returning back to Milan in 1989 and made his first senior appearance with the club at the Coppa Italia on 23 August at a 0-0 home match with Parma; Milan later reached the Coppa Italia final, only to lose the final to Juventus. Stroppa got the Serie A debut on 27 August 1989, during the 3-0 win away against Cesena and celebrated the occasion with long-range goals. Stroppa completed his first season in the club by winning the European Cup, a European Super Cup as well as the Intercontinental Cup in 1990, under the guidance of coach Arrigo Sacchi.

He joined Lazio in 1991. joined Lazio then in 1993 he joined Foggia in the middle of the pack, a Serie A team known for their outstanding, aggressive style of playing with manager Zdenek Zeman. Stroppa’s outstanding performances for the club also permitted him to debut for the Italy national team on the 13th of October, 1993, during an 1-0 home victory over Scotland and, in all four appearances in Italy from 1993 to 1994 under the former Milan manager, Sacchi. After a successful season at Foggia and then returning at the Stadio San Siro to compete for the Rossoneri for one season. He was able to win the third UEFA Super Cup with the club, and also winning the Supercoppa Italiana. The total of his appearances was Stroppa played in 85 games for Milan and scored nine goals. He played his last game for Milan in a 1-0 loss away to Napoli within Serie A, on 18 May 1995.

On 13 July 2011 he was unveiled as new head coach of Südtirol.
