Folau Niua (born on the 27th of January, 1987) was an American union rugby player. He has played as a fly-half with the United States national rugby sevens team since 2011. He also has the U.S. record for most matches played, with over 65 appearances.

Niua signed an agreement to become a professional in the United States with USA Rugby in January 2012 to be a full-time player for USA Rugby’s U.S. national sevens team. Niua played regularly for the U.S. national team in the 2011-12 IRB Sevens World Series, concluding the year as one of the top scorers for the team. Niua was also a part of U.S. players in U.S. during the 2012-13 IRB Sevens World Series, scoring 30 points in the 2011 South Africa Sevens. Niua also was a part of his country in 2016 and the U.S. during the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Niua was the first player to debut in Niua’s U.S. national sevens team during the 2010 Pan American Games, where even though he had no prior experience at international competitions He was selected as the first flyhalf to start. Niua was the highest scoring player of his country U.S. in that tournament with 41 points. He also had 78% of his success in his conversions which helped to help the U.S. achieve a bronze medal.
