Fionn Carr (born 17 December 1985) is an Irish union rugby player from Ireland. He is mostly an wing player, but he can also play as a fullback. Carr was a player for the majority of his professional career with Irish Province Connacht as part of the Pro12 and holds the record of the team for most attempts recorded. He also was a player in the other Irish province Leinster during the time. Carr has played for Ireland at schools, under 19 and Under 21 levels as well as at the international ‘A’ level and with the Ireland the national team for rugby 7s.
Carr joined Leinster to begin this season. He made his first appearance with Leinster since the 2007-08 season , against the Ospreys. He made his first participation at the Heineken Cup on 20 November 2011, in the match against Scotland’s Glasgow Warriors. In his debut season in his home province the player was part of 18 games for the club, and three of those appearances coming as a bench player, scoring five scores. He also played 2 games as a bench player in 2011, 2012 Heineken Cup, as Leinster took home the title.
Carr returned to Connacht for the 2013–14 season, having turned down the offer of a new contract with Leinster. His return debut came in the opening game of the 2013–14 Pro12 against Zebre. Carr started the game and scored a try. He played his first ever Heineken Cup game for Connacht on 11 October 2013, against Saracens in Galway. Carr left Connacht at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Carr joined Naas RFC in the All Ireland League in the summer of 2016.
Carr was also a member of Ireland’s second tier of international teams that is now named Ireland Wolfhounds and was previously Ireland A. His first appearance with Ireland A came in the 2009. Churchill Cup against Canada. He also played against England Saxons on the 31st of January 2010 in an 18-13 defeat. In 2010 The Irish Times referred to Carr as “Perhaps the fastest winger in the country one of Ireland’s outstanding performers against England Saxons this season”. Despite his excellent record in scoring goals during his time with the province Carr was not awarded the full international cap.

Carr played for Leinster in Leinster’s 2007-08 Celtic League, starting on the wing in the Celtic League against Glasgow Warriors.
After finishing his career at UCD, Carr signed for the western province of Connacht. The Connacht province had the highest scorer for Connacht in this 2008/09 Celtic League campaign, scoring eight tries during the league. His score was one two tries behind top scorer Thom Evans. In addition, he scored three attempts for the team during six appearances during the season 2008/09 in the European Challenge Cup. His first season at Connacht towards the end of the season in 2010-11 with 34 scores, 22 of which during the season in league play and twelve for the Challenge Cup. He was the most prolific try-scorer in the province’s history.
The following season, Carr played 16 times for the province, but did not play in the Heineken Cup pool stages or the successful Amlin Cup campaign, with all of his appearances coming in the Pro 12. He scored only 3 tries, with those coming against Newport Gwent Dragons, Cardiff Blues and Zebre. He left Leinster at the end of the 2012–13 season, having scored 8 tries in his two seasons there, all of them coming in the league.
