Eric Boguniecki (born May 6 1975) is an American former National Hockey League player and an assistant coach at present with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.
Then, in December of 2005 Boguniecki became a trade target for the Pittsburgh Penguins scoring 6 goals and 10 assists prior to signing with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was a player for their AHL affiliate known as named the Syracuse Crunch, before being transferred with the New York Islanders on October 25th the 25th of October, 2006. He played in 11 games over the 2006-07 season, but scored zero points, and his +/- was equal. He scored 8 PIM. He was a player in Islanders’ Islanders affiliated AHL team called the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and had 32 assists and 23 goals during 48 matches.
On October 29, 2009, he signed with the ECHL’s Alaska Aces.
On July 12, 2011, Boguniecki was named the assistant coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

As a youngster, Boguniecki played in the 1989 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament in his New York Islanders minor ice hockey team.
In the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, Boguniecki’s ability to score within the lower leagues resulted in his being signed as a Free Agent to the Florida Panthers in 1999. He only played in four game with the Panthers before being recalled in St. Louis in a deal that also involved Andrej Podkonicky.
For the 2007–08 season, Boguniecki played for the German DEL Team ERC Ingolstadt. On July 22, 2008, Boguniecki signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks. In the 2008-09 season, Eric was assigned to Ducks affiliate, the Iowa Chops, where he scored 34 points in 69 games.
