Eliot Halverson is one of the most popular and richest Figure Skater who was born on November 8, 1990 in Bogotá, Colombia. Eliot Jon Halverson (born November 8 1989) is an American figure skater. He is the 2007 US Junior National Champion.

Because of his accomplishments in the lower levels, the 21st of April of 2007 was designated as “Eliot Halverson Day” in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Halverson began the 2007-2008 season at the Junior Grand Prix Harghita Cup. After placing 6th in the short program, he attempted his first triple axel jump in competition in the free skate. Although he fell on the landing, he rotated it successfully and was given credit for the jump officially. He placed 5th in the long program, placing 5th overall. At his second event, the Pokal der Blauen Schwerter in Germany, he placed 7th overall, after placing 4th in the long program and being credited with his first triple axel of his career.

He began the 2008/2009 season at the 2008–2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Courchevel, France, where he placed 8th. At the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships in October, he won the silver medal behind Parker Pennington and qualified for Sectionals.

In 2006 and 2007, Halverson was a junior for the first time. He took home two medals in the bronze category on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit and was a second alternate in his 2007 Junior Grand Prix Final. He then went on to compete in the 2007 Nationals and was crowned the title of junior. Halverson has become the very first male figure skater after Evan Lysacek to win back- to-back junior and novice national titles. He is one of just nine males who have done it since 1932. The national championships he won brought him for the World Junior Championships in 2007. World Junior Figure Skating Championships and he was ranked 10th. Prior to Junior Worlds, Halverson had never been on the podium in any major competition in his professional career.

Eliot Halverson began skating at age 6 on the frozen pond that was located behind his home. In 1998, when the World Figure Skating Championships came to Minneapolis in 1998, Halverson stayed home for a week in order to watch the competition. This inspired him to start taking private lessons and to become an even more committed skater. He scored his first triple when he was eleven. While he is primarily coached with Ted Engelking, Halverson has also had coaching sessions together with Alexei Mishin and Kathy Casey.

He also changed his club affiliation from the St. Paul FSC to the Ann Arbor FSC following his move to Ann Arbor, Michigan. This changed the region he competed out of from Upper Great Lakes to Eastern Great Lakes.
