Brown was chosen to be selected by Brown by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round (212th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. The team chose to keep him over Abram Elam in the final cut of preseason, on the 2nd September the decision regretted later. On the 26th of September He suffered a left bicep injury during practice and was out for five games. He was a part of 8 games, and made two defensive tackles, four special team tackles, and one Fumble recovery.

After spending the 2009 season out of football, Brown signed a future contract with the New York Giants on January 6, 2010. He was placed on the injured reserve list with an ankle injury on September 4, 2010. He wasn’t re-signed after his contract expired.

As an incoming senior in 2006, he took part in 11 games, recording 50 defensive tackles (1.5 to lose) one interception, and seven passes he defended. He was able to allow only 29 receptions, and did not score a touchdown from opposing players. He concluded his career in college with 31 games and 110 defensive tackles (1.5 per loss) 10 interceptions defense of 22 passes and 9 receiving yards for 139 yards.
