Demetrius Jones (born on January 3 1988) is an American indoor football player who is currently an unsigned free agent. Jones has graduated at Central State University after previously being a student at an undergraduate program at the University of Notre Dame at the beginning of 2007 season. He was a as a middle linebacker for Cincinnati from 2008 to 2009.

Jones later was enrolled as a student at Central State University in Ohio which is which is a Division II school which is part of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, which is where he was tight end. In the first six games he played for the Marauders He scored 41 receptions, 2 touchdowns and 410 yards as well as completing fourteen of his 23 pass attempts, totalling 178 yards. Jones was planning to apply to be eligible for another year following his denial of an invitation for the NFL Scouting Combine in February 2011.

In December 2014, Jones signed with the Windy City Ravens of the North American Indoor Football (NAIF) league. Jones played wide receiver, quarterback and linebacker for the team and was an integral part of the team winning with 2015 NAIF championship. Jones was awarded the teams Most Valuable Player award for the 2015 season.

In 2016, Jones signed with the Chicago Blitz of American Indoor Football.

As an undergraduate in the college of Notre Dame, Jones saw little playing time in the absence of the senior Brady Quinn, but was two times picked among his peers for”the “show team player of the week” when he led the offenses of opposing teams during practice. In his quest to be the starter quarterback in spring 2007 Jones was applauded by head coach Charlie Weis for having “made the most plays,” and at the end of the week of fall practice , he was given the starting position.

As an high school senior Morgan Park High School, Jones played for 2500 yards and 25 touchdowns and was chosen to participate for the team in 2006’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Jones was among seven quarterbacks selected for the Parade All-American team and was the 2005 Gatorade Player of the Year for the Illinois state. Jones signed with the Kane County Dawgs of the Continental Indoor Football League for their 2013 season, but when the Dawgs folded after played one game, he was released from his contract.
