In 1998, after winning silver at the Nebelhorn Trophy, Koegel/Fediukov debuted on the Grand Prix series, placing 8th at the 1998 Skate Canada International, and tenth during the 1998 Trophee Lalique. They received an Olympic bronze at the 1999 U.S. Championships. They were trained by Uschi Keszler and Robbie Kane at Ice Works FSC located in Aston, Pennsylvania.

Koegel joined forces together with Fediukov during the year 1996. They both finished in sixth place in the 1997 U.S. Championships. Koegel and Fediukov resigned from their participation in the Karl Schafer Memorial after the mandatory dances. A Swiss skater cut Koegel’s left shoulder in an accident during a practice on the 16th of October, 1997. The pair were back on the ice by the end of the year skating with the New England Figure Skating Club in Marlboro, Massachusetts. The following month they were sixth in the 1998 U.S. Championships.

Debbie Koegel (born February 28 1977) is an American former ice dancer who competed in the past. Along with Oleg Fediukov as her partner, she was an 1998 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and double (1999-2000) U.S. national bronze medalist.

Koegel began skating at the age of eleven on a rink close to King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She finished 15th along alongside Michael Sklutovsky at the 1996 U.S. Championships.

The following season, Koegel/Fediukov again received two Grand Prix invitations; they placed sixth at the 1999 Skate Canada International but had to withdraw from the 1999 Cup of Russia due to a visa problem. The duo repeated as national bronze medalists at the 2000 U.S. Championships. They withdrew from the 2001 U.S. Championships due to a knee injury that Fediukov incurred in the compulsory dance. After Koegel sustained a shoulder injury, the two decided to retire from competition.
