Dave Swindlehurst is one of the most popular and richest English footballer who was born on January 6, 1956 in England, United Kingdom. David Swindlehurst (born 6 January 1956 in Edgware, Middlesex) is an English former footballer who was striker.
After stints as a manager and player at non-League clubs Bromley and Molesey and Molesey, he returned to with his old club Crystal Palace to take up an assistant coach position in the academy for youth. The position was elevated to reserve manager in the year 2001 but was fired in the month of October 2002.
After a brief stint living in Cyprus as part of Anorthosis Famagusta Swindlehurst came back to London and joined Wimbledon however he made only two appearances during the season in which they were victorious in the 1988 FA Cup Final, beating Liverpool. Later, he was a player for Colchester United, and on loan with Peterborough United.

Swindlehurst began his career in the ranks of Crystal Palace, playing youth football in the 1970s alongside his future West Ham United teammate Alan Devonshire. Beginning his professional career in 1973, he joined Palace over eight years, scoring an impressive 81 goals in his 278 games. Swindlehurst initially was signed by Derby County as a loan player two months prior to when his move was made permanent in April of 1980. Derby paid PS410,000 for his services, which was which was the highest amount ever paid by the club at the time.
John Lyall brought Swindlehurst to Upton Park for PS160,000 in March 1983. The injuries hampered his chances of playing in regular first-team football. He played his final fixture with West Ham on 27 April 1985 against Luton Town and after 71 League and cup matches for the east Londoners the club moved to Sunderland.
Swindlehurst joined Crawley Town as assistant manager in 2003. He was sacked in September 2005, and won an unfair dismissal claim against the club the following year. He took the manager’s job at Isthmian League Division One South side Whyteleafe in December 2006, and remained there until the end of the following season.
