The Hermanns began competing at the level of senior athletes in their 2007-08 seasons. In the Grand Prix debut, they finished 8th at the 2007 Skate Canada International. They were awarded an award of silver in the Pavel Roman Memorial and bronze at the German Championships.

In 2009–10, the Hermanns finished second to another sibling duo, Christina Beier / William Beier, at the German Championships and were eliminated from the World Championships in Turin, Italy after placing 22nd in the short dance.

The Hermanns missed the 2010–11 season due to injury and returned to the ice in March 2011, working with Rene Lohse in Berlin. 2011–12 would be their final season. They won bronze medals at the 2011 Pavel Roman Memorial, 2011 NRW Trophy, and 2012 German Championships and then retired from competition.

In 2003-04 The Hermanns made the move to junior ranks. They were assigned two ISU Junior Grand Prix assignments and both finished in the top ten. They continued to be part of the JGP series for the following three seasons. In 2006-07, they took home the German junior national championship and went for the 2007. Daniel Felix Hermann (born 12 October 1986) is an German former ice dancer in competition. Along with his sister, Carolina Hermann, he won six senior international medals, as well as his 2010 German nation’s title. They made it to the free dance during three ISU Championships, attaining their top result, which was tenth in the 2007. World Junior Championships.

The Hermanns began skating at the beginning of the year 1991, and were a part of the Solinger Turnerbund sports club in 1994. The following year, the couple joined together and began to learn the art of ice dancing under the guidance of Oleg Ryjkin in the Olympic training center in Dortmund. They participated at the novice stage until the conclusion 2003-2002 season.
