He also supervised his responsibility for the Navajoland region mission. In his capacity as Canon to the Ordinary he played a key role in the creation and construction of the Bosque Retreat Center and also in the reconstruction of Our Lady in the Valley Episcopal Church in Albuquerque and St. Francis Episcopal in Rio Rancho. In recognition of his work in the parish of Our Lady in the Valley the church, the congregation has named their Parish Hall in his honor.
