Then, in August of 2009 Asprogenous was given his debut selection to the squad by the manager Angelos Anastasiadis for Cyprus’s World Cup 2010 qualifying games with the Republic of Ireland and Montenegro However, he was not able to be selected for his debut.
In the middle of 2008, Asprogenous returned to his home country and joined Omonia. Asprogenous was mostly a back-up to Antonis Georgallides, who played in just two league matches during the season 2008/09. In the beginning of the year of 2010, Asprogenous was assigned for the season to Aris Limassol. He was a part of Aris Limassol in the club’s 1-5 defeat to APOEL. In September of 2010 Asprogenous relocated to Anorthosis and did not make an appearance in the 2010-11 season.

On the 12th of June, 2004 Asprogenous signed a four-year deal with Partizan. He was awarded an ’30’ shirt during the 2004-05 season however, he did not appear in any games during the course of the year. The following season, 2005-06, Asprogenous made his senior debut for Partizan and made five league games. The player was a part of the international squad with the club on December 14th, 2006, playing in the 0-1 defeat to Rangers in the Scottish Premier League at Ibrox Stadium. Prior to the start of the season 2007/08, the player was put on the transfer list prior to departing the club at the expiration the term of his contract.
After representing his country at the Under-19 levels, Asprogenous made his official debut with his team, the Cyprus U21s in the month of March 2005. Asprogenous played all 90 minutes of the eight matches during the European Under-21 Championship 2009 qualifying stage.
In the summer of 2011, Asprogenous joined Cypriot Second Division side AEP Paphos, helping the club win promotion to the top flight in 2011–12. He subsequently played for Ethnikos Assia and Nikos & Sokratis Erimis.
