Three of Cole’s novels have been adapted for the stage by the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, London: Two Women in 2010; The Graft in 2011, and Cole’s first novel, Dangerous Lady in 2012.
The four-part TV version from Dangerous Lady was broadcast on ITV in 1995. Later, in 1998, Sky1 showed a four-part adaptation to The Jump. The Take was a serialized show in British TV on Sky1 on June 9, 2009 and starred Tom Hardy as Freddie. Sky1 has also requested the adaption from The Graft, which has yet to begin production.
