Daniel Fepuleai (born 25 November 1988) is a Cook Islands professional rugby league footballer with the North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup. He was previously a player with the Sydney Roosters in Australasia’s National Rugby League and also the St. George Illawarra Dragons and also a stint in the New Jersey Turnpike Titans in the USA Rugby League. He is primarily hooker. Although he was not a part of the Dragons First Grade team, the Fepuleai made it to the semi-finals of 2009’s Pacific Cup with the Cook Islands. Fepuleai made his NRL debut for the Sydney Roosters against the Penrith Panthers in round 5 of the tournament in 2010.
In the Pacific Cup, he played in the win over Samoa during which he scored in a win of 22-20 that earned for the Cooks for the actual tournament. He scored twice and scored two goals in the 24-22 victory against Fiji in a performance that was voted man-of the-match. The Fiji team were defeated in the final 44-14, by Papua New Guinea. He also finished as the most points scorers in the tournament, scoring 16 points. He was re-signed by his club the Dragons in 2009 for their NRL season, however, he is not in contract for the upcoming season.
Daniel was part of the team “the Kukis during The 2013 Rugby League World Cup. He was a key player throughout the tournament and scored a try in their final game, against Wales

Fepuleai was signed by the Dragons at the age of 18 in 2006, but was unable to get into the first-grade considerations. He was a part of his club’s S. G. Ball Cup team and later , the National Youth Competition (under 20’s) team, but he was unable to not be selected for first team football. The year 2009 was a different story, but having played for Dragon’s feeder club, Shellharbour Dragons, he was chosen to play for the Cook Islands in the 2009 Pacific Cup. Fepuleai joined Sydney Roosters. Sydney Roosters for the 2010 season. He made his debut appearance in the game in the fifth round of the season being on the bench during a loss of 28-6 against the Penrith Panthers.
Fepuleai has Cook Island heritage and played for Hurstville United as a junior. He was awarded the Arrive Alive Cup for his school Endeavour Sports High School in 2006. He is the uncle of the new Dragons young signee Hayden Fepuleai, who joined the Dragons from Hurstville too.
