In 2011, Stauber was appointed the Director General for the Ministry of Education by the then Minister of Education, Gideon Saar, and, in October 2011 she was appointed to replace the Director General by Dr. Shimshon Shashani. During her tenure Stauber was involved in the implementation of the chapter on education in Trachtenberg’s Reform as well as the conclusion in the execution of the reforms to the Teachers’ Union “New Horizon”, The implementation of “Courage for Change” and the introduction and confirmation cooperation with third sector. During her tenure, a number of changes were made to the educational system . A strategy was devised to bring the system of education in the twenty-first century. In September of 2013, Stauber requested to conclude her role in the position of Director General for the Ministry of Education and in the latter part of October, she had been replaced with Michal Cohen.

In the period 2000-2009, she was appointed Superintendent of secondary education schools within Tel Aviv District. Tel Aviv District and led the initiative “Managers Initiate Future” and was one of the founders and directors in”the “City Team” building. Between 2009 and 2011, she was appointed Director for the Tel Aviv District in the Ministry of Education and conducted the process of “data based work in the education systems”. In 2011, in conjunction while she was director of the Tel Aviv District, she was appointed acting Director of Israeli Educational Television and directed the process to end the labor disputes of Educational Television’s employees.
