Chelsey Goldberg (born 30 January 1993) is an American Ice hockey player currently playing in the Boston Blades in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL). Before her pro debut, Goldberg played four seasons with her team, the Northeastern University Huskies women’s ice hockey team.

Goldberg received induction into the Southern California Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.

In 2015, Goldberg was chosen as eighth overall in the NWHL draft. In August of 2016 Goldberg was then selected as the sixth player overall for the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL). The head scout for the team stated Goldberg would be drafted one year earlier, had it not been due to a string of injuries Goldberg was afflicted with throughout her career, including the breaking of two legs. Goldberg made her debut CWHL goal in her second game when she was playing Les Canadiennes de Montreal.

Goldberg was born within Agoura Hills California Goldberg was born in Agoura Hills, California and she is Jewish. She went to Agoura High School, where she played for three years in lacrosse. The ice hockey team she played for was with Ventura Mariners Ventura Mariners and L.A. Select prior to moving to Vermont to complete her two years in high school. Before attending the university she was a competitive player at the North American Hockey Academy in Stowe, Vermont, as part of the Junior Women’s Hockey League, which was where she was selected as a member of the 2012 All Star team. At the age of 18, she fractured her left fibula during competition the following year, and one year later, her right fibula was injured in an athletic match.

Goldberg played player for her team Northeastern University Huskies women’s ice hockey team for four seasons, starting with the 2011-12 season. She won the Beanpot champion in each of the seasons. In her sophomore year , she had surgical intervention to eliminate five screws as well as an underlying plate from her left fibula which caused nerve discomfort. In her time at college, she played 90 games for the women’s Hockey East Association of NCAA Division 1. She was selected for the 2012-13 Hockey East All-Academic Team, and was named WHEA Co-Player of the week on October 7, 2013. She also was an active part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, where she was elected as the group’s president. She also served as an ambassador for the program. She and traveled to countries like Kenya on charitable missions.
