Billy Pettinger (born February 1 1982) is a Canadian-born performer and songwriter who is known under the name Billy the Kid. She is also a part of the rock group Billy and the Lost Boys and was the drummer for Vancouver’s longest-running Ramones cover group called the Ramores.

Her debut album The Lost Cause was produced and produced by Raine Maida, who is the lead singer of the Canadian rock group Our Lady Peace. Billy the Kid released a fan-funded album featuring Jamie Candiloro (Ryan Adams/Willie Nelson) named “Stars, Exploding” in November 2012. In February of 2013, she dropped “Perspective” where she played every instrument and served as producer. In 2014, she released “Horseshoes & Hand Grenades” recorded by Frank Turner and released on Xtra Mile Recordings.

At the age of 16 Pettinger created her first band , in where she played lead vocalist and guitarist. They were called the Blue Collar Bullets. Blue Collar Bullets featured You Say Party drummer Devon Clifford who passed away on stage in 2010.

Following The Blue Collar Bullets, Pettinger formed a group of musicians. Within twelve days of their formation, Billy and the Lost Boys presented their first concert. They would release three albums and two music videos, and in May 2004, they reached #1 in the Canadian College and Campus Radio Charts. The music of the group was featured on the television series Radio Free Roscoe, Degrassi: The Next Generation and The Collector. She was the self-engineering and producer of”4th Billy and the Lost Boys album, titled “Off The Map”.

Pettinger released a 5-song EP titled The Lost Cause on November 14th in 2008.
