BG Uys is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on June 20, 1988 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He was a member of the Leopards and was a player with them as an Under-18 and under-21 from 2007 to 2009.
He was a player for the Leopards throughout 2013. He then joined the Eastern Province Kings for 2014. He was a part of the Eastern Province Kings during the 2014 Vodacom Cup competition, a 331 defeat against the Free State XV in Cradock. In June 2014, he got picked as a reserve in the Eastern Province Kings side to play Wales in a match on tour in the 2014 tour. He was an extra in the second half as the Kings lost 12-34. He played three times in the EP Kings on their return to the Premier Division of the Currie Cup and also played in their final game for the year against Pumas in order to win their first victory of the season following nine straight losses.
In July 2014, Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské revealed that Uys would move to the Bloemfontein-based Super Rugby side for the 2014 Super Rugby season. This was later confirmed when he was named in the Cheetahs’ wider training group prior to the season.
He also was a part of a South African Barbarians (North) team that played England on their 2012 tour in South Africa.
