This is the very first time that winter sports were contested during SEA Games history.

Anja was forced to take a break from her sport to study and in 2016, she was awarded the title of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Honours) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She began short track speed skating in this season of 2016/2017.
