Zsolt Pozsgai is one of the most popular and richest Writer who was born on September 20, 1960 in Pécs, Hungary. Pozsgai was born in Pecs in South Hungary in 1960. He became a writer as a teenager and by the age of 14, he was already running an amateur theatre company in Pecs.

From his childhood, Pozsgai directed and organized an amateur theatre in Pecs. He was then employed as a dramaturge/assistant of arts by the National Theatre of Pecs. Between 1979, when he graduated from high school and 1979 when he started working in the artistic sector of theatres, a variety of jobs were open to him. His creations, mostly poems, were often published. These were his years of conscious preparation for his future career as a writer. He was Menyhert, the chief director of the National Theatre of Pecs. For many years, he served as his assistant. This role was a crucial part of his work as a theatre director. Pozsgai, who had been the chief director, resigned and was made the editor of the Pecs press of literary artworks. He worked with Tibor Tuskes (an excellent historian of literature). He also attended the University of Sciences, Pecs, and completed his military service.

Between 1987 and 2018, Hungary performed as many as 94 of his dramas, many of which were played many times. These include dramas, tragicomedy, fairy tale plays, scripts of musicals, comedies, and low comedies. One of his best musicals is titled the Monte Cristo grófja (The Count of Monte Cristo) the music and lyrics of which were written by György Szomor.

Pozsgai wrote his first play during the years of his mandatory military service, which was premiered 1988 in the Hevesi Sándor Theatre in Zalaegerszeg. This drama plays ten years after the demise of Hamlet and features the tragic faith of Horatio who suffers in the “suffocating embrace of power” sustained by the Norwegian Fortinbras.

This drama tells the story of Gina Lollobrigida’s interview with Fidel Castro in Havana, 1974.
