He is a retired Croatian male table tennis player. He is a two-time World Cup winner and is one of three table tennis players who have played at seven Olympic Games. In 1998, he was ranked number 2.

Primorac represented Croatia at the 1992 Summer Olympics, Barcelona. He reached the last 16 in both singles and doubles. The same thing happened at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He was eliminated in round three at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Primorac was eliminated in the third round of the men’s singles at the 2008 Summer Olympics to Jorgen Persson.

At the 1998 and 2000 European Championships Primorac won silver medal in men’s singles. In 1998 final he lost against Vladimir Samsonov and in 2000 he lost against Peter Karlsson. At the 1992, 1994, 2002 and 2005 European Championship he won the bronze medal in men’s singles. At the 2007 European Championship in Belgrade he won the silver medal in the team event with Croatia (with Roko Tošić, Andrej Gaćina and Tan Ruiwu).

In 2018, Primorac was elected Chair of the ITTF Athletes Commission.

Primorac, Jean-Michel Saive from Belgium and Jorgen Persson from Sweden are the first players to compete at seven Olympics. They have participated in every Games since 1988.

Primorac was born and raised in Zadar. He started table tennis in his hometown at STK “Bagat”. He won seven European championship medals as a junior. He moved to Zagreb in 1985, where he joined the Caja Granada, “Vjesnik”, and UMMC Verkhnaya Pyshma. He won the silver medal at the 1987 World Championships in New Delhi with Ilija Lupulesku. In 1988, he also won the silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Seoul. He won the 1990 European Championships in Gothenburg with Lupulesku.

He won bronze in 1991, silver in 1997, 1993, and 1997 at the Mediterranean Games for the men’s singles. He won the men’s doubles gold medals in 1987, 1991, 1993 and 1997.

In 1993 he won a bronze medal in Men’s singles at World Table Tennis Championships. He won silver medal in 1995 and bronze in 1999 at World Championships in Men’s doubles event.
