Yuta Kubo is one of the most popular and richest Kickboxer who was born on October 19, 1987 in Tachikawa, Japan. Yuta Kubo (Jiu Bao You Tai , Kubo Yuta, born October 19, 1987) is Japanese lightweight kickboxer. In 2011, he won the Japanese national tournament K-1 at Lightweight.

He was supposed to make his debut as a middleweight (-70kg) at Glory 4: Tokyo 2012 Heavyweight Grand Slam against an unknown opponent on December 2, 2012. However, it was cancelled after the event was moved to December 31 and combined by Dream 18.

On February 17, 2012, Kubo defeated Charles François via second-round knockout to win the vacant ISKA World Light-Welterweight (64.5 kg) Championship in Tokyo, Japan.

He lost to Mosab Amrani by unanimous decision at Glory 13: Tokyo – Welterweight World Championship Tournament in Tokyo, Japan on December 21, 2013.

Kubo participated in the Krush Grand Prix 2013 (67kg First Class Tournament) on January 14, 2012. He was originally set to face Houcine Bennoui at the quarter-finals. Roman Mailov was then appointed to replace Bennoui. Mailov also suffered an injury during training, so the third opponent for Kubo was TaCa, a lowly-ranked competitor. In round 2, he stopped TaCa using one of his trademark body shots. Kubo dropped Shintaro Mattsukura in the semis with a punch to the body in the first round. He cruised to a unanimous victory, but with significant injury to his lead leg. In the final, he was set to face Abdellah Elzbiri again. Kubo began the fight well, but Ezbiri started taking advantage of Kubo’s injured leg until he had trouble standing. After the three regulation rounds, the bout was scored unanimously. It then went to an extension round. This was called a majority draw to the disgust of the crowd. They booed the decision because they believed Ezbiri was the dominant fighter. Kubo won the tournament and the inaugural Krush67 kg title by rallying in the second extension round.

Yuta dropped Ezbiri twice in the second, the 1st time with a right hook, the second with a spinning back fist but got up both times showing extreme toughness and heart and stayed on his feet in the 3rd even though Kubo is known for finishing his opponents quickly when he smells blood. Yuta Kubo won the fight by decision 3-0.
