Vitaliy Borysovych Antonov (born 12 December 1962, in Stryi, Lviv Oblast) is a Ukrainian businessman, the head of the supervisory committee of Concern Galnaftogaz (OKKO filling station network) as well as The supervisory board for the Universalna insurance company and the president of the Universalna Investment Group. He is an Honorary General Consul of Lithuania in Lviv and has a Ph.D in Economics. Education He was a student at the Stryi School #4 in 1970-1978. The school graduated him from Ternopil Financial-Economic Institute with honors with a concentration in “finance and credit” in 1988. He presented a dissertation on the subject of “Activation of the Attraction of Foreign Direct investment into Ukraine’s Economy in the Condition of Global Competition” and was awarded an academic degree, with a Ph.D. in Economics in the year 2011.

Vitaliy Antonov was the head of Ukraine’s Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’ commission for issues related to the energy sector and fuels of Ukraine during 1999-2000. He was an active part of the Council of Investors under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 2009 to 2010. He was elected to the Council on the Issue of Stimulating Investments and Entrepreneurial Activities under the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine in 2013. Vitaliy Antonov has served as Honorary Consul to Lithuania within Lviv as well as Lviv Oblast in 1999, and an Honorary General Consul for Lithuania in Lviv since 2007. He has been the Director of the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian- Lithuanian Fund since 2001. Vitaliy Antonov believes that Lithuania’s experiences in transforming its society from post-totalitarian to open and democratic society is extremely valuable to the Ukrainian national initiative as both countries share an identical history and mindsets. Vitaliy Antonov is one of the original founders of the Lviv Business School of the Ukrainian Catholic University in 2008. Vitaliy Antonov is currently a student for rock climbing and mountain climbing. He speaks fluently with Ukrainian, Russian and English languages. In 2016, he was elected as an official member of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University Supervisory Board
