Tom Miranda is one of the most popular and richest American television host who was born on January 21, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio, United States. Thomas Lee “Tom” Miranda Jr. Thomas Lee “Tom” Miranda. (born on January 21, 1958) is an American trapper, bowhunter TV host and writer. He first became famous as an instructor for fur trapping through video trapping instruction. After this, the man began a long career as a bowhunter on television and is most well-known for his TV bowhunting adventures which can be seen in ESPN, VERSUS and other cable networks. He has taken down one African bull elephant by firing a single shot fired from the bow.

In a magazine called Fur-Fish-Game, Miranda was featured in an article about his trapping skills on February 23, 1983. Miranda received national attention and shortly thereafter started writing articles for the publication. After accepting a job as a Predator Control Trapper in South Dakota as a Predator Control Trapper in 1984 Miranda relocated into Chamberlain, South Dakota. He obtained his private pilot’s license in the year 1985.

In the first years on ESPN, Miranda’s adventures included, skydiving, bungee jumping, jet flying: including Navy F-14 training (Miranda is an accomplished pilot) scuba diving, bull riding, rodeo clown training, MLB with Seattle Mariners, fire walking and many additional adventures. in several bowhunting episodes in 1993; soon Miranda was hosting the entire series.

Miranda changed the series name to Advantage Adventures in 1997 after a request from Realtree founder Bill Jordan to host a new series for his Advantage camouflage line. Advantage Adventures became a diary of Tom’s bowhunting adventures around the world. In 1998 Miranda began a quest to videotape the archery Super Slam of North American Big Game (29 species).

Miranda’s love for the outdoors started very early in her life. When she was 11 years old, Miranda was employed as an “trapboy” for Walnut Creek Trap Club. Miranda relocated from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1980 to pursue a job as an animal trapper. Miranda developed his own scents for trapping and established a small company that sold the products he made with his Competition Line Lures in 1982.

In 1986 after selling his first trapping lesson video series Fox and Coyote trapping East to West, Miranda resigned from his position as a South Dakota State Trapper and began Tom Miranda Outdoor Films. Miranda produced 15 “how to trap” videos and began making bowhunting videos. In these early video production years, Miranda learned script writing, video editing and cameraman skills. In 1990 he met Sandy Brady and became business partners with him and Pat Foy Brady (father). The trio formed Tom Miranda Outdoors Inc.
