In the autumn of 2014, he was in charge of his youth squad of FK Borac Cacak.
By January 2017, he was the director of all youth sections of FK Mladost Lučani.

He was born in Trier, West Germany, the player was already working at the time in Serbia together with FK Timok Zajecar before his transfer to FK Borac Cacak in 1993. In his debut season with Borac they were champions in the 1993-1994 Second League of FR Yugoslavia and were promoted into the First League of FR Yugoslavia in the subsequent two seasons with 54 appearances and scoring three goals for the Yugoslav top-flight.
After three years with Borac In summer 1996 the player moved into Belgium in the form of K.A.A. Gent and was a part of them for the next 7 seasons of the Belgian Pro League.
In April 2016, after Ljubiša Stamenković got sacked, Vasov took charge as main coach of FK Borac Čačak.
