Terry Daniher is one of the most popular and richest Australian Rules Footballer who was born on August 15, 1957 in West Wyalong, Australia. Terry was as the son to James “Jim” Daniher and Edna Daniher (nee Erwin) on 15 August 1957 in West Wyalong Base Hospital. Terry was a student at St Joseph’s Catholic School, Ungarie for his primary schooling prior to attending Ungarie Central School until the age of 10, after which Terry was a farmer.

Following this, he returned to Melbourne to be an assistant coach at Essendon and was a coach for a reserve premiership in 1999, as well as being the assistant coach of the team which took home in the 1999 Grand Final. The year 2003 saw Terry was appointed an assistant coach at Collingwood Football Club. Collingwood Football Club before becoming an assistant coach at St Kilda Football Club. St Kilda Football Club, in which he was a part-time coach from 2004 to 2005. Terry completed his coaching job as an assistant coach with the Carlton Football Club, where the coach remained from 2006 until 2007. Following this, Terry begun his own cleaning company, Terry Daniher Cleaning Services.

Between 1976 and 1992 Terry played from 1976 to 1992 for South Melbourne and Essendon in the VFL/AFL. He played 313 games. He also participated in the 1983 1984, 1985 as well as the 1990 Grand Finals, two of which he took home. Terry also made history with his brothers as they became the first group of brothers to join an identical team at the State of Origin match and during a home and away game. After the 1992 season that Terry was forced to retire.

Terrence “Terry” John Daniher (born 15 August 1957) is an former Australian rules soccer player who was a part of the team for the South Melbourne and Essendon Football Clubs of the Australian Football League (AFL). Terry worked as an assistant to coach for Essendon, Collingwood, St Kilda and Carlton Football Clubs. Terry’s three brothers, Neale, Anthony and Chris were also players in the AFL for Essendon and Collingwood in the AFL. Terry is a member of both the Australian Football Hall of Fame as well as the Wagga Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame and is also a winner of Essendon. Terry is the present proprietor of Terry Daniher Cleaning Services, which is a cleaning service based in Melbourne.

It was in his early years when Terry displayed his passion for the sport, specifically Australian rules football. He played with the Northern Riverina Football League (NRFL) on Saturdays as well as playing in the school rugby league carnivals. It was during his time with the NRFL that Terry received numerous best and most fair awards prior to joining Ariah Park-Mirrool, a team from the South West District Football League during the season of 1975. In this particular season when Terry received an offer from the South Melbourne Football Club to be a part of their team.
