After his first completion in 1989 of Chernivtsi State Medical School, which specialized on General Medicine, he went from working as an assistant in the laboratory to head the Water Hygiene and Water Reservoir Sanitary Control Laboratory, Medical-Ecological Problems Research Institute which is which is a division within the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine. After defending his doctoral thesis at the end of 1994, he got promoted to the post as an assistant. In the following year, he was appointed Associate Professor within the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics which is a faculty within the Bukovinian State Medical Academy.
In 1999, he was defending his Doctoral Thesis. In 2002, he was promoted to the position of Professor. Since 2000 to 2003 he was the Dean of Pediatric and Medical Faculties at the Bukovinian State Medical Academy.
On April 7, 2010 he was appointed acting Rector of Bukovinian State Medical University (BSMU) by the Ukrainian Ministry of Public Health.
