Steve Housham is one of the most popular and richest English footballer who was born on February 24, 1976 in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada. Steven James Housham (born 24 February 1976) is an English professional footballer who played in the past. As a player, Housham was primarily midfielder between 1993 and 2007 primarily during the Football League for Scunthorpe United in which he played for the team that won the Division Three Play-offs of 1998/1999. He then joined Barrow before completing his playing career at Brigg Town. He was promoted to management with Brigg in 2007, following stints with Gainsborough Trinity, North Ferriby United and Lincoln United.

In his first year in charge, Housham was able to lead Trinity through winning the Conference North play-offs after finishing 4th. They beat F.C. Halifax Town over two legs and, despite being the favorite they were defeated 1-0 in the final by Nuneaton Town at the end of. In the 2012-13 season, Trinity reached the semi-finals of the FA Trophy having defeated Barrow in the quarter-finals. The Blues were playing Conference Premier promotion contenders Wrexham and, despite drawing level, lost 3-1 in the first match. The next week, Trinity were able to come back to beat Wrexham 2-1 in the second leg but despite putting on an enormous amount and pressure during the closing moments, they failed to score an additional goal to send the game into extra time. Wrexham played Grimsby Town in the final game, but Trinity being left out of their first chance ever for a game on Wembley Stadium. Housham quit Gainsborough with mutual consent on March 10, 2016.

On June 6, 2016 Housham became the manager at newly-promoted National League club North Ferriby United. Housham was fired on the 24th of November 2017, following an inexplicably poor run of performances and results that put North Ferriby at the bottom of the Conference North shortly after Jamie Waltham was appointed manager of the team. He was named Lincoln United manager in 2019 together with Nathan Jarman as his assistant. Both left the club in March of 2020.

Housham was born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Housham progressed through Scunthorpe’s youth program and was promoted to the first team squad in 1993. While at United the player made up the team that was promoted in the Second Division via the playoffs. A majority of his time played at Glanford Park was under the direction by Brian Laws. It was Brian Laws whom lent him initially to Barrow in Barrow’s 1999/2000 campaign. Then he moved to the club for a long time prior to joining Brigg Town a year later.

He was appointed the player/manager of Brigg in 2007 shortly after which he resigned from playing to accept his new job as a non-player. In May 2011 , he resigned his job at Brigg and assumed the position of youth team manager at his home club Gainsborough Trinity, where he was working alongside the manager Brian Little until he replaced Little as caretaker manager August of 2011. After five wins from five games in the caretaker’s charge of Northolme Housham, Northolme Housham became appointed permanent manager on September 12, 2011.
