Steve Czaban (born June 1 1968) is an American sports radio broadcaster. Czaban (ZAY-ben) is the host of the Steve Czaban Show on The Team 980 with Scott Linn. He was also the host of the Steve Czaban Show on Yahoo! Sports Radio and formerly hosted the daily sports show on Bob & Brian. He was also featured as a guest on Fox Sports Radio.

The year 1998 was when Czaban got a job with WFNZ located within Charlotte, North Carolina as their host of their afternoon sports program however, he resigned in June of 1999.

While hosting The Sports Reporters, Czaban joined Fox Sports Radio in 2002 and hosted GameTime with Steve Czaban. In January 2005, he was moved to The First Team on Fox as part of their morning lineup, later renamed the Steve Czaban Show until its cancellation in December 2009.

It was announced in August 2010 that Czaban would return to Sporting News Radio (formerly One-On-One Sports). He was joined by his long-time sidekicks, including co-host Scott Linn, producer Steve Solomon and anchor Al Galdi and later, Tim Murray.

Czaban relocated back to his home town and was recruited from Andy Pollin at WTEM to perform updates on a part-time basis on behalf of Team Tickers during Summer 1994.

Czaban has claimed that he grew up “…on the slums in McLean, Virginia.” His father worked as a computer systems analyst at the United States Department of Agriculture and his mother taught in elementary school. He went to Cooper Middle School and Langley High School before enrolment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The university graduated him in the year 1990. an B.S. with a major in Communications and Political Science.

In the late spring of 1994 Czaban was transferred into Chicago for the show’s morning slot on One-On-1 sports radio channel. While in Chicago Czaban met Bob Madden and Brian Nelson who were the hosts for Bob & Brian, and added The Sports Report with Steve Czaban segment to their show, under the heading as “Original Sports Donkey”. He was host until 1997 when he left the show.

After six months at ESPN Radio, Czaban rejoined Pollin in 2000 for The Sports Reporters, which aired on Washington, D.C.-based WTEM. The duo raised controversy in December 2012 when commenting on then 50-year-old transgender Mission College basketball player Gabrielle Ludwig. The comments resulted in suspensions for both hosts.
