Stephen Walters (born 22 May 1973) is an English actor from England. An actor who is regularly seen on British film and television and film, he has performed an array of characters and a variety of roles as a character in comedy and drama. Walters is usually associated with complex, unpredictable characters. He was nominated for the Royal Television Society Best Actor award in 2013 for his part on the Sky Arts drama Ragged.

Between 1998 between 1998 and in 2000 Walters played a number of episodes of The BBC’s Pie in the Sky, in which he starred alongside Late Richard Griffiths, Mikey Sullivan in Jimmy McGovern’s crime-drama Liverpool 1, Technician Fifth Grade John McGrath in HBO’s WWII miniseries Band of Brothers (based upon the work of historian Stephen E. After completing drama school, Walters played Ian Glover in Jimmy McGovern’s well-known film Hillsborough (1996) which was inspired by the Hillsborough disaster that took place in the 1989 FA Cup Semi-finals. Hillsborough was later awarded an award of BAFTA for the best drama. His next appearance was in as Jamie Johnson on ITV’s ill-fated drama series Springhill (1996) however Walters was not able to return for the sequel because of differences in his artistic style. In 1997, he was able to again collaborate alongside “Ghost Story” director Julian Jarrold in the ITV drama Touching Evil. Walters will play the lead role of Jack McCaffrey, a slippery Cockney in the two-part series with the final episode was created by Paul Abbott.

In 1989, at Saint Wilfrids secondary school, Walters was selected to appear in the ITV’s British Children’s anthology series Dramarama as Corporal Tomkins in the series’ seven-episode series titled “Ghost Story”. Walters his second professional appearance was on the drama anthology series by the BBC called Screenplay. He was a part of Jimmy McGovern’s series five episodes Needle (1990) that was which was based on the needle exchange program and heroin epidemic that erupted in the 1980s in Liverpool.
