Biesty’s books have had immense success, and in his Incredible Cross Sections (1992) is a huge international hit with more than one million copies printed across the globe. The other Biesty works composed by Platt include Man-of-War (1993), Castle (1994), Incredible Pop-Up Cross-Sections (1995), Incredible Explosions (1996), Incredible Everything (1997), Incredible Body (1998) and the Absolute the Most Excellent Cross-Sections Book Ever (1999). Since 1999 , he’s created The Millennium Dome Pop-up Book (1999), Gold: A Treasure Hunt through Time (Meredith Hooper) (2002) along with Rome (Andrew Solway and Stephen Biesty) (2003). Castle was later adapted as a game for children Castle Explorer, as was Man-of-War that was later adapted into Stowaway! A journey through an 18th-century Man-of-War. Many have said that Biesty’s Incredible Cross Sections to fellow British artist Martin Handford’s Where’s Wally? series. For instance, in Man-of-War there’s the challenge of identifying the stowaway.
