Spencer Carbery (born November 9 1979) is Canadian former professional left winger in ice hockey who is now a head coach within the Washington Capitals farm system, in the year 2018 Carbery was appointed as Head Coach of the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League (AHL).

In 2007 Carbery was transferred to the ECHL in the ECHL, where he played the entire season with teams like the Bakersfield Condors (18 games, 3 goals and 3 assists) as well as the Stockton Thunder (20 games, 2 assists, 0 goals) as well as the Fresno Falcons (20 games, 2 goals two assists). Carbery also played in the playoffs in Fresno Falcons for 2008 taking part in one match during the National Conference quarterfinals.

On September 11, 2009, Carbery re-signed as a free agent on a one-year contract to return to South Carolina. In the 2009–10 season on January 7, 2010, Spencer was selected to represent the Stingrays as an alternate captain. On January 25, 2010, his goal against the Reading Royals aided the Stingrays in tying the ECHL record for the most players with a point in one game. All 15 skaters registered a point in the 8-5 victory over the Royals.

Carbery became a professional in the year 2006 when he signed to his team the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL. In the 2006-07 season, Carbery scored the team 44 points (16 goals and 28 assists) during 63 games of the season’s regular.
