Siphesihle Ndlovu (born 30 September 1996) is a South African professional footballer who is a midfielder for Premier Soccer League side Orlando Pirates as well as the South Africa national team. A graduate of the academy at Maritzburg United, he made his debut as a professional in the year 2016 and then went through the ranks to make over eighty appearances with the team. In the 2017-18 campaign the club helped him to record-breaking fourth place in the league. He was recognized for his performance by receiving The Young Player Award. The next season, he signed with Orlando Pirates.
In March of 2018 Ndlovu was selected in the South African national team for the first time by coach Stuart Baxter for the inaugural Four Nations Invitational Tournament. The first time he played was on the 21st of March, making his debut as a substitute in the second half for Maphosa Modiba, who was in the team’s 1-1-0 (7-6) penalty shootout victory against Angola. His first appearance came the following day as South Africa beat hosts Zambia by 2-0 to win the trophy.
On 12 June 2019, Ndlovu confirmed that he had signed a three-year deal with Orlando Pirates. Upon making the announcement, he informed media that he had never signed any agreement with Sundowns and that his reason for joining Pirates was that the club’s style of play suited his abilities.
In the following year, the player was included in Baxter’s squad to play in the 2018 COSAFA Cup. He played in the opening game of the tournament, which was a penalty shootout defeat to Madagascar. He played throughout the competition in which South Africa went on to claim the Plate title, which is equivalent to the fifth place finish.

As a ball-boy with the side, the player enrolled in the academy for youth from Maritzburg United from the now extinct Umgungundlovu Academy of Sport in Pietermaritzburg. He was a star at the club’s academy, where they played within the SAB League and earned the nickname Mbesuma in reference to the former PSL top goal scorer Collins Mbesuma. In 2016 he was promoted to the senior squad under the coach Roger De Sa alongside Mlondi Dlamini and Tso Motjatji. The player made debut with the club on October 22nd, 2016 when he made his debut as an alternative for Denis Weidlich during a penalty shootout defeat against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup. The league debut came on December 20th after a draw 1-1 against Bidvest Wits and he went to play 18 times throughout the remainder of the season.
Ndlovu experienced a fantastic campaign under Fadlu Davids in the 2017-18 season, during which the club was able to achieve an historic league position. In January of 2018, he became the very first athlete from Maritzburg United to win the Absa Premiership Player of the Month award. He then two months later, he received the signing of a new contract for a long-term for the club, which ended speculation that he was destined for an exit. He played his 50th game for Maritzburg United on April 25 when he played in a 2-2 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns. In the next month, he was a participant at the Nedbank Cup final where Maritzburg United were defeated by 1-0 Free State Stars. The season ended by Maritzburg United ending fourth in the league, their best ever position and their best ever score of points. The 21st of May after a season in which he was in all but three games that he scored five goals and was the player with the highest fouls in the league He was nominated for a variety of PSL Awards, including the ones for the Midfielder of the Season as well as Young Player of the Year, and The Footballer of the Year. Also, he was nominated to the Most Promising Player award due to his performance in the Nedbank Cup. The ceremony for the award took place eight days later and he left in the midfielder of Season and Young Player of the Season awards.
Ndlovu is also a full international since March 2018 and has represented South Africa at a COSAFA Cup.
