Taukeiaho was a player in the match for Tonga to face Papua New Guinea in an end of the year test match in PNG and on May 2nd 2015 on the Gold Coast, he played for Tonga in their Polynesian Cup clash with Pacific opponents Samoa.
On 2 November 2019, Taukeiaho captained Tonga against Australia as they went on to win 16-12, causing one of the biggest upsets in international rugby league history.
He made his Grade I debut during round 26, against St. George Illawarra Dragons on September 7, 2013.

Taukeiaho is from Tongan descent and was a member of his hometown team the Otara Scorpions in 2010 before signing with the New Zealand Warriors. He played for his 2011 Toyota Cup winning Junior Warriors and was selected as a Junior Kiwi the following year.
After the 2013 season, he sought and was granted being released by the Warriors. Taukeiaho was then to tweet on the 27th of September, 2013 that he was signed by the Roosters for a period of two years. Taukeiaho was signed into in the season 2015 NRL campaign as Roosters to replace the late Sonny Bill Williams. Taukeiaho was a surprise selection in the exchange to begin the season in 2015. His excellent early form solidified his spot in the squad as he continued to play in every game of the season and scored two attempts.
On 30 September 2018, Taukeiaho played in Eastern Suburbs 21-6 victory over Melbourne in the 2018 NRL grand final. Taukeiaho made a total of 20 appearances for the Sydney Roosters in the 2019 NRL season as the club finished second on the table and qualified for the finals. Taukeiaho played from the bench in the 2019 NRL Grand Final as the Sydney Roosters won their second consecutive premiership defeating Canberra at ANZ Stadium.
