Scott Kempner is one of the most popular and richest American guitarist who was born on February 6, 1954 in Bronx, New York, United States. Scott “Top Ten” Kempner (born on the 6th of February, 1954 in Bronx, New York, US) is the rhythm guitarist of The Dictators since they formed in 1974 (only being out of the band for a couple of years around 2002). He was also the original member of The Del-Lords. The band released a critically popular Solo album, released in 1992 titled Tenement Angels.
A Del-Lords reunion tour and album was released in 2013 and Kempner was a guitarist and singer for The Carla Olson album Have Harmony Will Travel and performed the song Little Steven’s “All I Needed Was You”.
In the summer of 2008 Variety wrote about Kempner: “If the world were a just and fair place, Scott Kempner would be stopped regularly by musicians and music fans thanking him for the effect the records he made with the Del-Lords and the Dictators had on their lives. In the 1990s, Dion DiMucci joined Kempner and Frank Funaro of the Del-Lords and Mike Mesaros of the Smithereens in a band that lasted only a few months, known as Little Kings. The album, which was recorded live, was released later however it was not widely distributed or advertised.
