Ryan Matthew Neufeld, born November 22, 1975, is an American football tight end who played in the National Football League for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was also a member the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe and the Florida Tuskers, as well as the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. He played college football for UCLA.
He was assigned to the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe in 2000. He was a tight end and made 8 receptions for 75 yards. One touchdown helped him to win the World Bowl VIII. In August, he was released.
In 2003, Neufeld was signed by the Buffalo Bills to be used as a backup fullback and tight end. His best statistical season came in 2004 as a backup tight end, when he registered 6 receptions for 61 yards.
On December 22, 2005, he was placed on the injured reserve list with a knee injury. On November 12, 2006, he suffered a serious tendon injury in his foot and was again placed on the injured reserve list on November 16. In 2007, he was declared inactive in 7 of the last 10 games. He wasn’t re-signed at the end of the season.
He was signed by Miami Dolphins practice squad on August 30, 2000. However, he was cut one week later.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Neufeld as an undrafted agent after the 1999 NFL Draft with the intent of making him a fullback. On September 5, Neufeld was waived and signed to the practice team. He was promoted to the active list on October 27 to serve as a backup fullback and special team player. He recorded 6 special team tackles, and was then deactivated in two games after sustaining a right ankle injury.
He was signed to the practice squad by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000. On October 12, he was promoted to the roster. He sustained eye, finger, and calf injuries in 2001 that restricted his participation during training camp. He was then released on August 26.
In 2002, he was signed as a free agent by the Seattle Seahawks, but was cut before the start of the season, when the team decided to keep the 2 tight ends they drafted that year.
