Roel Kuiper is one of the most popular and richest Philosopher who was born on April 5, 1962 in Mariënberg, Overijssel, Netherlands. Roelof (Roel) Kuiper was born in Marienberg, 5 April 1962. He is a Dutch historian and philosopher. From 2007 to 2019, he was a member the Dutch Senate. He is currently professor of Reformational philosophy in Rotterdam at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam under the name of the Association for Reformational philosophy. He also teaches Society Issues at Zwolle’s Christelijke Hogeschool Ede, Gereformeerde Hogeschool Zwolle, and political and social philosophy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Kuiper was a Christian Union senator from 12 June 2007 until 11 June 2019. From 7 June 2011 through 11 June 2019, he was the Senate group leader, succeeding Egbert Schurman.

Kuiper’s historical, philosophical, and political publications are often apologetic in nature. They defend the Christian faith in the Netherlands from secularization. Many of his ideas were inspired by Guillaume Groen van Prinsterer (the intellectual father of Antirevolutionary Party); Kuiper wrote a biography about Groen in 2001.
