Mohammad Dadkan is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on February 2, 1956 in Tehran, Tehran Province, Iran. He was born in Tehran, Iran on February 2, 1956. His family is from Tehran. He graduated from Tarbiat Modarres University with a Ph.D. in 1980.

Dadgan’s darkest hour came in 2005-2006 when Rah Ahan FC (one of the IPL teams from lower divisions) used false documents to identify one of its players. The IRIFF’s laws state that a team that uses false documents is guilty. All games in which they used this player should result in a 3-0 win for the opponent. This rule would have meant that Rah Ahan FC would have been relegated to the lower division, and Sanat Naft FC promoted. After weeks of deliberation behind closed doors at IRIFF the disciplinary committee decided that Rah Ahan FC was guilty and they would be promoted to IPL. One of the committee members revealed that Dadgan was putting pressure on them to keep Rah Ahan FC in IPL. Many other instances occurred where IRIFF didn’t follow the rules, particularly when it involved one of the few wealthy and powerful IPL teams. These cases are undeniable and Dadgan was involved.

At the start of his presidency Dadgan sacked Branko Ivanković, the manager of the Iranian national football team, and replaced him with his close friend Homayoon Shahrokhi. The decision came as huge surprise to both fans and critics since Shahrokhi’s coaching career is not a respectable one and managing the national team was and still is way out of his league. But Dadgan insisted that he has made the right choice, but the results showed something else. The national team lost at home to Jordan and came very close to being eliminated from 2006 FIFA World Cup (qualification) in the very first round. Dadgan was forced to bring back Branko Ivanković, but didn’t sack Shahrokhi. Instead, he appointed Shahrokhi as Directing Manager of national team, a title that never existed before. This is among one of many controversial decisions that Dadgan has made. In fact, forcing the former manager in the new manager’s coaching staff has never happened before in history of football.

Mohsen Safaei Faahani, then the President of IRIFF, appointed Dadgan to the position of head of Iran’s Premier Football League. Dadgan was also Farahni’s assistant later on. The alliance was not sustainable and Dadgan began publicly criticizing Farahni. It was a shock, as Farahani is still one of the most talented, creative and dedicated IRIFF Presidents. Mohsen Farahani quit his post after the Iranian national team failed at the World Cup Finals in Korea and Japan 2002. Dadgan assumed the role and promised to correct any mistakes.
