Robert Philip Reed, born June 11, 1959, is an American Roman Catholic Bishop.
Reed was also assigned to parishes. He then began a career as a broadcaster for the Archdiocese of Boston. He has been presenting “The Catholic Hour”, a weekly radio program, since the 1980s. Reed graduated from Boston University with a degree as a Television Manager. He then joined the Boston Catholic Television Center, later known as CatholicTV, where he held the positions of Director of Educational Development and Assistant Director. He is currently the President of CatholicTV Network, and the CEO of iCatholic Media, Inc.
On June 3, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Boston and Titular Bishop of Sufar in Mauretania Caesariensis. He was consecrated on August 24, 2016 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston by Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston. Currently, he serves as a Vicar General and Regional Bishop of the West Region of the Archdiocese of Boston. In addition, he is a member of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Communications and the Committee on Migration.
