Hite was arrested for DUI on February 1, 2007 after attending a party to celebrate Dwyane Wade’s birthday. The charges were dropped after tests revealed that Hite had a blood alcohol level well below the legal limit. The Heat waived him that day. The Sioux Falls Skyforce acquired Hite later that month.
He joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2009 NBA Summer League. In July 2009, he signed with Sigma Coatings Montegranaro of Italy. In January 2010, he left Montegranaro and joined JuveCaserta Basket. In March 2010, he left Caserta and joined Pallacanestro Reggiana for the rest of the 2009–10 season.
In September 2010, Hite signed with Hapoel Holon of Israel. In February 2011, he left Hapoel and signed with CSP Limoges of France for the rest of the 2010–11 season.
For the 2007 NBA Summer League, he joined the New Jersey Nets. He signed with the Nets in August 2007. He was then waived by the Nets on October 28, 2007. For the 2007-08 season, he joined Galatasaray Cafe Crown of Turkey.

As a senior, Hite led Miami in steals with 50. He also ranked second on the team for scoring (558) as well as rebounding (198). Hite was a third-team All- ACC Selection and was named to the All-District 6 First-Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He started all 34 games and averaged 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.47 steals. He also connected on 85 three-point field goal attempts, a new UM single-season mark. He played in all 29 games as a junior (28 starts), and averaged 17.3 point, 5.0 rebounds and 1.55 steals. Hite was an honorable-mention All ACC selection and won Player of the Week on December 13. He was a sophomore and appeared in all thirty games (29 starts), averaging 15.2 points and 3.6 rebounds, 2.03 stoles, and 2.0 assists. On December 29th, he was named Big East Player-of-the-Week and was also selected to the All-Tournament Team at the 2003 Las Vegas Tourney. He appeared in all 28 games as a freshman (18 starts), and averaged 7.3 point, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He was third in scoring on the team and became the University of Miami’s first freshman to open the season with four consecutive double figures.
He was undrafted in 2006’s NBA draft. In 2007, he signed a multi-year deal with the Miami Heat to play in the 2007 NBA Summer League. He signed a multiyear contract with the Heat in August 2006. Hite was in his first NBA game on October 31, 2006, when he played against the Chicago Bulls. Hite was 0-3 on the field and went scoreless in five minutes, with just 1 rebound (and 1 steal). Hite’s most memorable game was against the San Antonio Spurs, November 22, 2006. Hite scored 9 points from 4-6 shooting, and was 1-1 from the 3-point line. In 17 minutes, he had a rebound and assist, steal, block, and steal without any turnovers or fouls.
On September 26, 2008, he signed with the Phoenix Suns. However, he was later waived on October 23. In November 2008, he joined TAU Cerámica of Spain. In December 2008, he joined Base Oostende of Belgium.
