RM is one of the most popular and richest Composer who was born on September 12, 1994 in Goyang, South Korea. Kim Nam-joon (Korean gimnamjun ), was born in Dongjak-gu on September 12, 1994. He grew up in Ilsan-gu where his family moved when he turned four or five. He is the older of two siblings, and has a younger sibling.

RM, EE, and Dino J collaborated with MFBTY in March to produce the song “Bucku Bucku”. He was featured in the music video of “Bucku Bucku” and also appeared in another MFBTY video for their song “Bang Diggy Bang Bang”. RM formed a long-lasting working relationship with Tiger JK, a MFBTY member, during a 2013 TV show when Tiger JK was promoting “The Cure” and telling RM that he grew to listen to Tiger JK.
