Raymond Jude LeBlanc, born October 24, 1964, is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He is most well-known as the goaltender of the United States team at 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville (France). Although he was not drafted into the National Hockey League, he did play one game for the Chicago Blackhawks.
LeBlanc was a member of the IHL’s Flint Spirits and Saginaw Hawks, Indianapolis Ice and Fort Wayne Komets. He also played for the Cincinnati Cyclones, Cincinnati Cyclones, Cincinnati Cyclones, Cincinnati Cyclones, Fort Wayne Komets, Cincinnati Cyclones, Chicago Wolves, and Fort Wayne Komets. LeBlanc retired from the ECHL after his final two seasons with the Jacksonville Lizard Kings.
LeBlanc played in just one National Hockey League game during his career. He was playing for the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1991-92 season. The Blackhawks used his appearance to exploit a loophole within the NHL’s 1992 NHL Expansion Draft rules. Each team was required to expose any goaltender who appeared in at least one game in 1991-92. LeBlanc was activated, and he was placed in his first game on March 10, 1992. This allowed the Blackhawks to not expose any of their top goaltenders, Dominik Hasek, Jimmy Waite, or Ed Belfour. LeBlanc only allowed one goal, earning the Blackhawks victory over the San Jose Sharks 5-1.

LeBlanc was originally born in Fitchburg (Massachusetts). After two seasons playing junior hockey in Ontario LeBlanc became a professional and joined the Pineridge Bucks, Atlantic Coast Hockey League, for the 1984-1985 season. After one season with the ACHL’s Carolina Thunderbirds, LeBlanc moved on to the International Hockey League where he would spend most of his professional career. LeBlanc was the Flint Spirits’ rookie player in 1986-87. He played in 63 games, and was presented the Ken McKenzie Trophy for the best American-born rookie in that league.
LeBlanc was a participant in eight games at the 1992 Winter Olympics for the United States. He compiled a record of 5-2-1 and two shutouts. However, the Americans lost the bronze medal game 6-1 to Czechoslovakia.
