Raj Kishor Singh is one of the most popular and richest Indian Politician who was born on February 1, 1969 in Basti district, India. Singh was born in Changerwa (Basti, Uttar Pradesh) on February 1, 1969 to his father Anant Singh. He was married to Suman Singh. Two sons were born to them. He is a member of the General Caste (Rajput community). He holds a B.A. He graduated from APN Degree College in Basti. Devendra Pratap Singh, his son, is the President of Basti District Council. Brijkishor Singh (“Dimple”) is his younger brother and a former Loksabha candidate for Basti Loksabha Constituency of Samajwadi Party.
He was elected again three times from Harraiya in 2012, defeating his closest rival Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Mamata Pantdey by a margin 20.286 votes. He is also the cabinet minister for Animal husbandry and Panchayatiraj in Akhilesh Yadav cabinet.
On 9 April 2019 in New Delhi he joined Indian National Congress in presence of General secretary Priyanka Gandhi.
He represented Harraiya’s Samajwadi Party again in 2007 and defeated Anil Singh, the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate, by 5,145 votes.
