Kostiukovich/Ialin began their season competing in the 2018 Junior Grand Prix series. They won the gold medal at Linz, Austria’s first Junior Grand Prix event. They were first in the short program as well as the free skate, and won the gold medal more than 14 points ahead of their silver medalist teammates Anastasia Poluianova and Dmitry Sopot. They won the silver medal at the second JGP event in Ostrava, Czech Republic. They finished first in the short skate and second in free skating. However, they were defeated by their gold medalists, Kseniia Akhanteva and Valerii Kolesov, who were their training partners and teammates. They set the junior-level pair’s record for the short skate at this event (66.30). These results qualified them for the 2018-19 Junior Grand Prix Final.

In January 2018 Kostiukovich/Ialin won the bronze medal at the 2018 Russian Junior Championships after placing eleventh in the short program and second in the free skate.

Kostiukovich/Ialin were initially assigned to the 2019 ISU JGP Croatia Cup in Zagreb, Croatia. However, they withdrew from the event due to puberty-related struggles faced by Kostiukovich. The team continued to compete domestically, qualifying for both the senior and junior-level Russian championships through the Russian Cup series.

Kostiukovich/Ialin were international debutants in September 2017, when they competed in the Junior Grand Prix competition in Zagreb (Croatian). They won the gold medal. They defeated Gao Yumeng / Xie Zhang, the silver medalist by less than 1 point, and Aleksandra Boikova / Dmitrii Kolozlovskii by approximately two points. This competition saw Kostiukovich/Ialin perform a level 3 quad twist, which is rare even at senior competitions. For that twist, they received 10.46 points.
