The singer was part of The Los Angeles, California punk rock scene during her teens and was also a original member in The Bags in 1976. The band disbanded after an argument between Alice Bag, cofounder of the band. Alice Bag. She formed Legal Weapon in 1980, making an EP titled No Sorrow in 1981.
Morrison began her association with The Gun Club in 1982 She quit The Gun Club when she returned from her first tour The Gun Club in 1982. The group was then formed by Fur Bible along with Kid Congo Powers, performing as the opening performance in Siouxsie as well as the Banshees. Australian rocker and singer Tex Perkins was also offered an opportunity to join Fur Bible and travelled to the UK to take part in rehearsals of the band. But upon arrival in the UK, Perkins was denied entry due to not having obtained any type of visa prior leaving Australia. At this point, Morrison was approached via Andrew Eldritch, asking her to join The Sisters of Mercy. Morrison performed on the album of 1986 Gift (released with the name of The Sisterhood) and also on The Sisters Of Mercy’s album from 1987 Floodland.
In 1996, she joined The Damned after bassist Paul Gray was injured by a fan in concert. That same year Morrison married the Damned’s lead singer Dave Vanian. After giving birth to Emily Vanian in 2004, Morrison retired from the Damned.
