Campedelli was appointed by Cesena on May 25, 2012, a mere two weeks after the club was relegated to Serie B as caretaker. FIGC granted an exemption to him, even though he was not a holder of UEFA Pro License. He was dismissed on the 10th of September, following 3 Serie B matches, from his brother Igor President of the club, and substituted by Pierpaolo bisoli. Campedelli was granted his Pro License in July 2013.
In the next two seasons, he was the head coach of Bellaria within the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione saved for the entire two seasons. He was granted the required coaching license for the grade (UEFA A Licence) in June of 2011.
