From 2007 to January 2011, Paleologos served as the executive director at the Massachusetts Film Office. The Commonwealth’s movie-making industry experienced unprecedented growth during his tenure at the office. He was responsible for several major motion picture shoots in Massachusetts, including The Town and Shutter Island, Knight and Day and Edge of Darkness, The Proposal and The Company Men. Quixote Studios also opened a Boston operation worth $1.5 million.
