Nasty Suicide Biography

Nasty Suicide is one of the most popular and richest Finnish musician who was born on February 27, 1963 in Sipoo, Uusimaa, Finland. Finnish musician Nasty Suicide was born Jan-Markus Stenfors, February 27, 1963. He is best known for his role as the rhythm guitarist of Hanoi Rocks between 1979 and 1985. Hanoi Rocks was an emulation of punk, blues, glam, rock and roll and rock and roll. Suicide was a guitarist in a Finnish punk group called Briard, before he joined Hanoi Rocks. After McCoy left Briard, Suicide took over as Andy McCoy’s guitarist. He and Andy McCoy, his ex-bandmate from Hanoi Rocks, recorded an acoustic record under the name The Suicide Twins. It was released in 1986 and titled Silver Missiles and Nightingales. McCoy and Suicide also started The Cherry Bombz. They included Timo Caltio (later replaced with Dave Tregunna), Terry Chimes, and Anita Chellemah as singers. The Cherry Bombz released two EPs, The Cherry Bombz (1985), and House Of Ecstasy (86), as well as a live album called Coming Down Slow (1986). Following The Cherry Bombz, Nasty formed his own band Cheap and Nasty. They were active from 1990 through 1994.

Suicide also performed a show in 2010 with Michael Monroe at Ankkarock Festival, replacing Steve Conte, who had to cancel because of family reasons. He has been a guest with Monroe’s band since then.

Suicide left the rock scene around the mid-nineties, and moved back home to Finland (which is why Demolition 23 was disbanded). He then finished his high school studies. He graduated from high school and became a pharmacist. He currently works for a Finnish drug company. Suicide appeared briefly with the Hanoi Rocks, a group that was reformed in 2000.
